Unpublished Community Employment

Community Employment is the equivalent of job placement which is the goal for the individual.

The steps to Community Employment:

1) The team assesses the individual for aptitude, abilities and ambitions for marketable skills.

2) Job options are reviewed that match the individuals employment goals.

3) An individual will work along side a job trainer as they develop a systematic plan of on-the-job instructions and support.

4) The individual will either be placed on a supported employment job individually or join an enclave group working in the community. 

5) Successfully completing the above steps the individual is assisted in finding employment in the community. 

ACS will continue to be support the individual in the community job, however, the frequency is intended to diminish over time. The supervisors would still be available to assist with any needs that arise as they reach the goal of being independent.
